Research
PhD thesis
Since my masters thesis (see below) I have a strong interest in SGML/XML applications and XML related standards. Between 2000 and 2005 I did a PhD study at the Utrecht University about the usability of XQuery, XSLT, and SQL/XML. My thesis can be downloaded here.
Masters thesis
My masters thesis is entitled "SGML edition of the 'Sinnepoppen van Roemer Visscher'"; an emblemata book of the 17th century. The SGML edition was completed in juli 1999. Some more information can be found here.

Amp building
